ThEME Team

Elizabeth Haas Edersheim, ThEME's creator, has studied, written about, and advised organizations for over 30 years. A former partner with McKinsey & Company, she later founded New York Consulting Partners. She currently works with senior executives as their enterprises' growth exceeds their capacities, and with clients ranging from fast-moving young firms and the largest global non-profits to Fortune 100 companies. Author of "McKinsey's Marvin Bower" and "The Definitive Drucker," she holds a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management. When she is not working there is nothing she enjoys more than being in the outdoors, away from organizations.

Ryan Burke Wynett comes from Cincinnati. He is one of the key conceptualizers of ThEME. An honors graduate of the University of Illinois, he is now enrolled at the University of Texas, Austin program in cognitive science and continues to advise and challenge the ThEME team.

Ricardo Echecopar ThEME's art director, is founder and CEO of Beyond, a Peruvian new-media agency bringing North and South American clients strategic planning, brand/image communication, management systems, e-learning, social-networking, and broadcasting project solutions. He is also co-founder of The Lincoln Island Company, LLC.

Robert Kuzma ThEME's developer and data master, started his programming career immediately after college as a web developer with Slovenia-based B4Contact, later becoming a prepress designer for a printing shop. He caught the entrepreneur bug and now runs a small internet-technologies business in Slovenia covering a broad spectrum of development platforms, including Sharepoint, Javascript, HTML, CSS and various PHP Frameworks.

Kristin Pernicano, a fundamental contributor to ThEME's content development, is an independent management consultant and founder of KmP Consulting, LLC. She holds a BA from SUNY, Albany and an MS from New York University in sports business. She began her career with Goldman, Sachs & Co. later serving as a vice president of Merrill Lynch and Citigroup Global Markets. She is also a champion Muay Thai boxer.

Jan Sotan, a contributor to ThEME's development, has experience in helping enterprises and individuals communicate effectively with key stakeholders. She has held senior communications positions with management consulting, environmental consulting, and financial services firms in New York and Boston. A Harvard graduate, she provides strategic communications services to clients.

Dave Marcus, a journalist and author whose focus is on education, contributes to ThEME's content. While with the Dallas Morning News, he shared a Pulitzer Prize for international reporting. He was also a Nieman Fellow at Harvard. The author of two books, he is an honors graduate of Brown University. David spends most weekends hiking with his children.

Wen Gao is a New York-based native of China who conducts research and performs Chinese translation for ThEME. She holds both a B.A. (with honors) and an M.A. in mathematics from Bryn Mawr College. Prior to and while contributing to ThEME, she was a vice president with Credit Renaissance Partners, LLC, a New York investment management firm. Wen is a student of Warren Bennis.

Martin Porter manages ThEME's database and iPAD application. Born in Amsterdam, he is an award-winning jazz pianist who calls both the U.S. and Canada home. A graduate of the University of Toronto, his writing on jazz history and performance has been featured periodically on National Public Radio. He was previously program manager for the Festival of the Sound, a non-profit international chamber music festival in Ontario. He practices piano 4 hours every day.

CN Chen, ThEME's data scientist, holds BAs in Math, Computer Science, and Economics with distinction from Amherst College and an MS in Math Finance from the Courant Institute of New York University. He is also a CFA charterholder and former vice president at Credit Renaissance Partners, LLC, a New York investment management firm. A native of New Orleans, CN enjoys playing piano and mentoring underserved youths in his free time.

Tatjana Kalamar M., ThEME's illustrator, developed her style as a fashion designer in Europe. A graduate of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she studied fashion design. During her time in New York, she has studied digital design the Parsons School of Design and photography at the International Center of Photography in New York.
